This is a great way to get the most out of your oil bottles…if you love them as much as I do (I’m sure you do), then you don’t want to waste a single drop.

Pop your empty bottles into a glass jar of Epsom salt, I also add magnesium flakes, and let them soak upside down for a few days. Don’t worry which oils you add, I promise you, every blend so far has been heavenly.

It makes a great present for your family and friends, just pop it into a nice glass jar, tie a little rope string and add a label with your love note.

Epsom salts and Magnesium benefits

Magnesium is the fourth most abundant mineral in the body, the first being calcium. It is involved in more than 325 biochemical reactions that benefit your heart and nervous system.

Adequate magnesium levels are essential for sleep and stress management, likely because magnesium helps your brain produce neurotransmitters that induce sleep and reduce stress. Magnesium may also help your body produce melatonin, a hormone that promotes sleep.

When magnesium sulfate is absorbed through the skin, such as in a bath, it draws toxins from the body, sedates the nervous system, reduces swelling, relaxes muscles, is a natural emollient, exfoliator, and much more.
